How to change (interface) display language in Windows Vista and Windows 7 in less than 5 minutes - Vistalizator
The display language is the language that Windows uses in wizards, dialog boxes, menus, Help and Support topics, and other items in the user interface. First, you must check your system properties (32-bit/64-bit, Service Pack 1/2 installed or not):

  • Go to Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> System
  • Right-click the Computer icon in Start menu and select Properties

        Next, install new language(s):

        • Download Vistalizator v2.50 program - works on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows Vista/Windows 7
        • Download language pack(s) for your Windows:
        MUI packs for 32-bit Vista RTM (without a SP)
        MUI packs for 32-bit Vista SP1
        MUI packs for 32-bit Vista SP2
        MUI packs for 64-bit Vista RTM (without a SP)
        MUI packs for 64-bit Vista SP1
        MUI packs for 64-bit Vista SP2
        LIP packs for 32-bit Vista, requires a parent MUI language to be installed first
        MUI packs for 32-bit Windows 7 RTM (without a SP)
        MUI packs for 64-bit Windows 7 RTM (without a SP)
        MUI packs for 32-bit Windows 7 SP1
        MUI packs for 64-bit Windows 7 SP1
        LIP packs for 32-bit Windows 7, requires a parent MUI language to be installed first
        LIP packs for 64-bit Windows 7, requires a parent MUI language to be installed first

      • Do not run a MUI language pack directly - works on Windows Ultimate/Enterprise only

        Now, Installing new language step by step

        1. Run Vistalizator, allow UAC prompt if requested (it is enabled by default).

        2. Press Add languages and open language pack(s): MUI (*.exe, *.cab) or LIP (*.mlc).

        3. Wait for the language pack to be loaded, its integrity will be verified as well.

        4. You may optionally change the installation mode in the table. Then press Install language(s).

        5. Wait for the installation process to complete: Express or Internal mode.

        6. Confirm to change the current display language to the new language (can be done later).

        7. *Express languages usually need to be updated after the very installation (steps 7-10).

        8. Press Update languages: the list of necessary updates is shown, see details in Help.

        9. If applicable: Download and open the required Windows update standalone installer within Vistalizator.
        10. All necessary Express languages will be updated within a few seconds.
        11. Exit program to restart the system for the changes to take effect (new display language).
